Slot Car Racing Rules:
Slotcar Qualifying:
- Driver qualifying order will be by random selection.
- Qualifying will be 1 minute in duration.
- Overall ranking will be based on the fastest lap time.
- Ties will be broken by the second fastest lap time.
- Any driver who misses their qualifying time will be ranked in last position.
- 1/24, 1/32 and F1 eurosports will qualify on the orange lane.
- Open GP-12, C12, JRL and B-production will qualify on the blue lane.
Slotcar Race:
- Every race will be run as a main starting with the slowest ending with
- The fastest. (i.e. C-main runs before the B-main and the B-main runs before the A-main.)
- Drivers will be loaded into their mains based on the Driver Loading Plan (PDF)
- JRL and B-production will run 3 minute heats.
- Open GP-12 and C12 will run 4 minute heats.
- 1/24, 1/32 and F1 eurosports will run 5 minute heats.
- All slot car races will have a 1 minute intermission between heats.
- Work on slotcars is allowed during the intermission.
Slot car Turn Marshaling:
- If you race you must turn slot car marshal.
- drivers at the end of their main must marshal the next main or whenever called upon.
- the number of slot car marshals must be the same in each main.
- a 10 lap penalty will be given for missing marshaling.
Slot car Track calls:
- For an unmarshalable car (i.e. In the middle of the straight-away in front of the drivers).
- Under a bridge or on the floor in an area not readily accessible by the turn marshal.
- if your car becomes a rider on another driver's lane.
- Warning given for your first illegal track call and then a 5 lap penalty for each subsequent illegal track call.
Classification: After each main a slot car drivers finishing position will be a result of the sum of the laps completed and the last lap sections. The number of laps made can only be a result of the lap counter. No lap correction is made for lane jumping (riders) or missed counting due to the cars braid. The race director must check the lap counting system if there is a persistent problem. If a problem with the lap counter occurs, then the race director Must rerun the current segment. If the lap counter fails to operate, the raceway must provide a spotter to count laps. General:
- un sportsmanlike conduct is subject to 1st a warning & then a 10 lap penalty.
- there must be only 1 driver per car and only 1 car per driver.
- any damage that would make the slotcar illegal such as the loss of a major part of the body, interior, or a car dragging on the track surface must be repaired within 3 laps.
- You will be black flagged after the 3rd lap.(power will be turned off on your lane)
- cars will be impounded after qualifying. Slot cars may not be touched by driver or pit crew until the power comes on in warm up.
- lane change is the drivers responsibility. No compensation will be given for incorrect changing of lanes.
- lane change cards will be required. Driver may receive 1 warning then a 1 lap penalty thereafter for not using a lane change card.
SLOT CAR TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
Slotcar Dimensions: maximum width excluding pins and tape 3.269” (83mm)
Slot car Rear tires:
- must have maximum width .815” (20.7mm)
- Exception: 1/24 eurosport and C-12 eurosport max width .900”
- the rubber portion of the tire contacting the track surface must be black
Slot car Front wheels:
- sticker front wheels are legal for all classes minimum diameter .500” (13mm)
- Exception: JRL as specified in class rules
- If sticker fronts are not used front wheels must turn on their centers at 90
- Degrees to the tracks surface and have black rubber / plastic perimeter.
- The loss of front wheel(s) during the course of a race will not be considered an infraction.
Slot car Rear clearance:
- gear must at all times be level with or above the bottom of chassis.
- no air control devices allowed- body bulletproofing that extend side dams will be considered air control.
- the body must cover the whole chassis including the rear axle & guide flag,
- Unless otherwise specified in class rules ( see JRL)
- *exceptions: ears at front of chassis
- must be fixed to the chassis with only pins or original mfg. Body clips.
- windows must be clear and all 4 wheels must be completely visible from the side.
- a number must be displayed in at least 3 different positions.
- numbers must be a minimum .25" high and be decals, vinyl, or painted from the inside.
- all slotcars must contain a painted 3 dimensional driver with helmet, shoulders, arms and
- Steering wheel mounted in the original cockpit position.
- interior must cover the entire cockpit opening.
- the body must not deviate from its original form as produced by the mfg.
- body must be opaque when viewed from the top and sides except for wheel openings

- lead may be taped or glued to the chassis
- pin tubes may be added in the orig. Body mounting holes and can be floating or

- motor may be soldered to the chassis (screws are optional)
- chassis may be braced with no more than 3” of up to .062” diameter piano wire.
- may add commercially available guide tongue reinforcement

- The chassis must be unmodified apart from the following permitted modifications:
- (1) addition of lead ballast. This must be glued to the top of the chassis.
- (2) addition of up to 4 body mounting pin tubes using glue or solder to production chassis.
- (3) addition of piano wire braces to strengthen the rear axle supports and motor bracket only using glue or solder.
- (4) addition of a motor brace.
- (5) fixing the chassis screws (only fitted to eurotoy), rear axle bushings, front axle wheel retainers and motor only using glue or solder.
- (6) rear axle bearings may be changed but must be of the “oilite” type.
- (7) a wire brace may be soldered to the demon chassis across the top pan. This wire brace must be a single straight piece of wire ( max. 1.6mm dia. & 22mm length), and may be only soldered to the side rails not the center stop.
- (8) the tags at the front of the demon chassis can be bent.
- (9) the holes in the motor bracket may be enlarged for motor clearance, provided the outside profile of the bracket remains unchanged. The holes for the back axle bearings may be enlarged.
- (10) the front axle of the demon chassis may be cranked and pass through the holes pivoting the pans.
Slotcar Motor:

Slotcar Bodies: Approved Bodies (PDF)
- Must follow all other 1/32 eurosport body rules.
- 1/32 FORMULA FALCON Chassis: Chassis are unrestricted except for the following limitations: must be inline. Motor:
- JK falcon

- Slotcar Body: Approved Bodies (PDF) *the slot car body must cover the entire chassis including the guide flag but excluding the axles, wheels and the support(s) for the front axle. The additional exception is the rearward portion of the chassis pans not covered by the body, the chassis portion in this area must be painted black. Front wheels: the front wheels must have a minimum diameter of 14mm (.550") and a minimum width of 4mm (.157") to a maximum width of 10mm(.400"). They must turn on their center at 90 degrees to the track surface and have a black rubber/plastic perimeter. The loss of the front wheel(s) during the course of racing will be considered an infraction and must be repaired/replaced immediately. 1/32 FORMULA Chassis:
- chassis are unrestricted except for the following limitations:
- The motor must be mounted in the chassis in the “in-line” position (i.e. In a 90 degree angle to the rear axle).
- Body: Approved Bodies (PDF)
- Must follow all other 1/32 formula falcon body rules.
- Motor: no restrictions Front wheels: the front wheels must have a minimum diameter of 14mm (.550") and a minimum width of 4mm (.157") to a maximum width of 10mm(.400"). They must turn on their center at 90 degrees to the track surface and have a black rubber/plastic perimeter. The loss of the front slotcar wheel(s) during the course of racing will be considered an infraction and must be repaired/replaced immediately. 1/32 C-CAN EUROSPORT: Chassis: unlimited. ball bearings are legal. Motor: option 1:
